To cheap to stamp serial numbers in windows paper sticker don't last
Have awning type crankout windows, cranks went bad and paper serial number tags have rotted. Told they would have delivery and sale records, if only u could talk to someone.
All calls go to a warranty company that can't help.
Plus one window imploded. The inside glass broke inward when sub zero last winter.

As a result of age and the other manufacturer, I had a new/replacement Alside bay window installed in my living room and am perfectly satisfied. I wanted to see how it held up following installation about 15 years ago and it's still great!
Thank you, Alside, and your installer. I will buy your windows again!
User's recommendation: I encourage you to look at and purchase their great windows for new construction or replacement. You will not be disappointed.

We have been dealing with them for almost 4 yrs now. We have grids that are slanted, screens that don't fit the windows, windows that have condensation on the inside in the winter they froze, one of the windows has a dark drown spot in the Glass, ( we were told it's the stuff they fill the windows with), the windows have air coming through them .
They are telling us that NONE of this is covered under warranty.
We call and email the office and we don't get any replies. We will NEVER recommend these windows .
- Never reply back to us
Preferred solution: Windows and screens replaced
User's recommendation: DONT use alside
Trying to get a replacent part
Bought the windows from a well known local manufacture. Just learned it takes Alside six to eight weeks to process paperwork for replacement part.
Wow, wanted their money day that the windows were installed, now we wait six to eight weeks for a part. Not acceptable! Run when you see Alside windows.
By the way not the first for this type of part failing with no notice. Window fell in my nose the last time this occurred.
Preferred solution: Should not take six-eight weeks to process paperwork for replacent part!!!

Poor quality and poor customer service
We purchased 13 windows from a contractor named jomo windows who is a contractor for alside Windows. We had the windows installed around 4/24/2022.
That first winter we had issues with all 13 windows With ice and condensation forming inside the window. They leaped air up the runner and around the bottom rail with ice format on the inside and air in between the sashes I had to put cotton balls there to keep air out. We contacted our installer he said it was because we didn't sell them when we cleaned them( Which I have not done). He came a couple weeks later with my husband showing him the problem and told my husband he would get a supervisor to come and look at them with him he called my husband and told him a date and time they would be Here so my husband took off work and The Morning of he called and Canceled, My husband set up another time about 2 weeks later which my husband took off work again and he canceled the date of my husband has contacted him several times About the issue and he said there was nothing he could do.
We filed a warranty with all after several emails and no response I sent one more email and they finally emailed me a denial on my claim. The manufacturer or the installer do not want to repair or solve the problems or issues they are selling a product they do not stand behind. After a little research I found out there was a class action lawsuit file May 20th 2015 state and certain all sides 2 paint glass window contained defects which makes them more prone to seal failure resulting in conversation or corrosion between the pains of glass.
I have filed a complaint with the state Attorney General, Due to the fact that I have 13 windows that are poorly made And cannot get repaired or replaced, I am asking for a refund. Do not purchase or have any dealings with associated materials also known as alside windows.
User's recommendation: Do not have any dealings with associated materials also known as all side windows
Very poor quality and very poor customer service
We purchase 13 windows from Jomo windows and more who is a contractor for alside window Contract was signed on 7/24/21,installation began around 4/24/2022. That same winter which was the first winter after having the windows installed we had condensation and ice forming in and on the windows, up the runner and around the bottom rail With ice forming on the inside and air in between the sashes I had to put cotton balls in there to keep air out we contacted our installer and he said it was because we didn't seal them when we clean them which I have not done at all to this day.
He came a couple weeks later with my husband showing him the problems and told my husband he would get a supervisor to come and look at them with him he called my husband and told him a date and time they would be there so my husband took off work and lo and behold the day of, He called and canceled. My husband set up another time about 2 weeks later which my husband took off work again and again he canceled the day of .My husband has contact with him several times asking for numbers to the supervisor and he has refused to answer to anything.
After a third time of contacting Jomo windows he finally came with a supervisor from a distribution plant and he agreed The windows were missing part.We tried several times to get into contact with alside After filing a claim,It took several Emails to alside and finally got a response for a denial on our warranty Stating their findings concluded that Our particular concern is not the result of manufactured defect covered by the warranty They refuse to warranty our windows and it is very difficult to get a hold of anyone from this company. After a little research alside Had a class action lawsuit filed May 20, 2015 Add according to the complaint file Certain outside 2 paint glass window contain defects which make them more prone to silk failure resulting in conversation and/or corrosion between pains of glass this conversation and corrosion is occurring at higher rates than typical for windows industry, According to the lawsuit that was filed In the United States district court of Minnesota.
User's recommendation: Do not purchase or deal with alside window company which is also known under Associated Material

Verified Reviewer | Sterling, ColoradoBroken/cracked window
We purchased this large window (94" x 42") through a contractor and for a little over a year we loved our large bay window but then we came home to a crack in the window across the one corner ~3 feet long. We entered in our warranty claim and after a protracted amount of time was told that "sorry, we don't honor a glass claim and you didn't buy a glass warranty".
We never even knew there was such a thing! Then, we brought in a local glass contractor who said that the window was very cheaply made and was not surprised it had cracked.
In the meantime, our contractor told us he now has 2 other customers with Alside window warranty problems. So now we have to spend more $$$$ to get what we should have initially had.
User's recommendation: Don't buy from Alside!!!

Verified Reviewer | Frankfort, KentuckyThey sold me the wrong product. It hadn't been opened/installed and was brought back withing an hour of purchase. They would not refund the 200$!
I went to alside to purchase a box of siding. I told the man behind the counter I was not an expert on the diffrent kinds of siding but I know how to install it.
He said no worries we will get you taken care of. I provided pictures of the old siding with a tape measure on it on the top and from the side view so that there would be no confusion. We'll, they said it was double 5-1/2 in dutchlap so that's what I bought. Once I got to the job I realized they had sold me the wrong siding and took it back immediately.
They would not refund my money. All other supply companies do returns.
Especially when the product hasn't been opened and or used in any way shape or form! I'll never do business with this company again and highly recommend no one else do business with then either!
User's recommendation: Go to Muller! DO NOT GO TO ALSIDE!
No response to telephone calls
I had all my windows replaced in 2016. Some of the windows are leaking and two will not open.
The telephone numbers are disconnected or the voice mails are full and will not accept messages.
I don't know what to do now. I spent a lot of money for new windows and they have not even lasted 10 years.
User's recommendation: Call another company for replacement windows. Do not waste any time looking at Allside windows.

Verified ReviewerConsistently defective
I am on my third set of horizontal slider windows (original vinyl windows installed in June 2019, sashes replaced Sept 2022 worse than original with 1/2 x 3/4 inch holes and gaps to outside, sashes replaced again May 2023 have holes and gaps again)... also am on my second set of double hung windows originals received June 2019 and replaced Sept 2022 due to defects of all of them horizontal slider and double hungs allowing air between glass and sash frames as well as between panes and frames - and through frames themselves.
Replacement sashes still allow air to blow. Horrible quality...
consistently. It is pointless to continue replacing them because they are consistently horrible and the public should be aware of this.
- Horrible energy efficiency
- Quality
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: Do not use them but if you want to throw money away give to me so i can redo my windows again

Verified Reviewer | Menomonee Falls, WisconsinDisappointing Warranty Process
They (Apex/Alside) outsource (or Automate) their warranty process to an on-line portal that is clunky at best. Took me over an hour just to provide documentation and force all files loaded to be less than 2MB.
After everything was loaded (proof of ownership of house, window contract, pictures of defects (3 failed windows in 2 years since install), etc. ... My claim went into a blackhole...no response from local connection, window seller or online portal. I don't expect 24 hour turnaround service, but at a minimum I would expect a response within a week.
It has been 2 plus weeks and can't get a response. Frustrating beyond belief.
Preferred solution: Deliver product or service ordered
User's recommendation: Avoid this product .....failure rate is high and warranty service is terrible. Wish I would have spent a little more to get a company that stands behind their product.

Verified Reviewer | O Fallon, MissouriWarranty Coverage
The so-called Warranty coverage for the windows is the poorest of any product I have ever owned. Simply send you parts with no installation instructions.
4 year old home, replaced locks on patio door already.
Now fixed glass pane on kitchen window seal has leaked, in addition the opposite window spring system has broken. Replies via the warranty system are non-existent.

I have an issue with all of their windows installed in my home which is a new construction. These window not only allow dust and cold air into the home but they also leak water when it rains.
My sealed windows even have these issues. I have been in communication with their warranty department for months and have gotten nowhere.
- Cheap builder grade
- Horrible energy efficiency
- Warranty issue
- Customer service
Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution
User's recommendation: Do not purchase their products.
Leaking water - Help warn future customers
I purchased 10 new windows for my house a few months ago and every single one leaks water. It doesn't even need to be a hard driving rain even a light shower or a light spray with the garden hose and water will leak in along the track.
During a hard driving rain the inside of the window track filled up so much it almost overflowed. These are brand-new windows that were professionally installed, so it is 100% poor quality windows and not an issue with installation. The company refuses to admit that there is an issue with the windows and swear that everything is fine. Unfortunately, it looks like I will need to hire an attorney to get anything done.
I have no idea how this company is still in business, they are an absolute joke.
I hope this helps at least one person from dealing with the headache I have had with these windows. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM ALSIDE!!!
User's recommendation: DO NOT BUY THESE WINDOWS!!
