Alside Window - Alside not what it used to be
In 2001 we hired a contractor to install windows in our home. We decided on using the company and they installed our windows.
Probably three or four months later I noticed that one of the windows had a crack in the pane of glass in between...nothing we could have done to the window. In the mean time we had problems with the company who installed the windows and that is a whole different story. We contacted Alside and within a week, a repairman was at our house fixing the window per their warranty. Fast forward 12 years later when things are starting to break in those windows.
They had changed warranty companies and our lifetime warranty was not worth the paper it was printed on!
Took several months to get someone to respond to our claim and then several more weeks to get a part. We are in the process of replacing the Alside windows and would never buy from them again.

I had several Alside Mezzo replacement windows installed by a reputable contractor I had used years before for a roofing job. The Installation was done very professionally.
The price was very high. The first cold night, 14 degrees F, one of the windows cracked.
The contractor is going to replace the cracked panel. I assumed these were good windows because the contractor was very good but now I am beginning to wonder.
